Richmond Pioneers Victorious at Chinese Tournament

The Richmond Pioneers won all three games at the BC Chinese Soccer Federation Over-50 Tournament on June 5, 6, 2004 to claim the top prize.

On Saturday, the Pioneers, featuring a number of guest players, defeated Giant Panda 2-1 in the first game to set up an enticing match against FC Europa, who also won their first game. The Pioneers turned in a solid performance to defeat FC Europa 3-0. Needing only a tie in the final game, the Pioneers beat Carib 2-1 to finish top on points and win the Cup.
